Be prepared for the product to vary from the one your purchased. I specifically ordered the PL5223 model, based not only on the different heads supplied but also on the dark grey leatherette case included as that is to my taste. Sadly, when the product arrived, it had a poor quality, printed fabric case. Not at all what I was hoping for.
After investigating, it is definitely the correct model as expected, but what was included differed from the picture.
Lastly, having owned a Phillips Lumea for several years before it breaking, I can confirm that the BRAUN device is much more painful, although the strength of the light pulses can be adjusted, the highest setting does really sting. Also the .5 seconds between flashes advertised is only on the lowest setting and dependent on the head you use. The rest of the time it’s much slower.
Time will tell if it’s as effective.

After a few sessions using this it worked immediately on arms, face, stomach etc but it can take more time with stubborn areas such as underarms. As long as you are diligent with the sessions this will work for you, its pricey but ultimately its pays off.

Expensive but it’s made easier with 4 equal payments. Easy to handle and use just starting to see the difference after 4 weeks of use. Facial hair on my chin is definitely getting less frequent not plucking it as much.

I’ve purchased this for £285 when it was on offer ,received this on17th February 2022 but opened this a couple of weeks later and saw a small crack on the glass which I did not report to Amazon as I trusted that wouldn’t cause an issue as I never had issue with any products.
The product is easy to use but it is not lightweight it’s tricky to hold and flash on wrist areas, knuckles, knee and joints. The hair has reduced in growth. I recently started getting burns on the skin for some reason which leaves an obvious mark. When it flashes you wont’ see the burned hair I’ve read that it will shed after some days unlike the Phillips one which burns your hair and gives off a smell. I have always had ingrown hair on my leg which became worse because you have to remove them weekly before the treatment but slowly it started to get better. Visibly you won’t see or feel the hair but if you go against the hair growth you’ll be able to feel the hair so I am still thinking whether to do my sideburns as it is hairy but I normally shave my face every 4 weeks and once you start lase you’ll have to shave it weekly which is making me hesitant. Overall, I was satisfied with the results and Braun products.
Today while I was getting ready for the treatment it was not flashing instantly, I had to press the button many times before it flashed. I tried to contact them for a replacement but you can only get it after 30 days of receiving the product and the only option is to send for a repair to Amazon or get a refund and repurchase again for £359 which is the price at the moment. This is a shame as I have to wait for the repair and start my treatment again.

Have only used once and am following the plan of use once per week for 12 weeks My skin feels softer, I cant say I’ve noticed a difference on hair growth which is to be expected! Love that it can be used on mains rather than running out of charge (as I often do with my epilator). Interchangeable heads easy to swap all in all so far so good!
